Livestock Extension Services
Livestock extension services in Punjab are aimed at improving the productivity and health of livestock through the dissemination of knowledge and technology to farmers. These services are typically provided by the Livestock and Dairy Development Department in Punjab.
The Department has a network of over 3,500 service centers, including CVH, CVD, Mobile Dispensaries, and Sahulat Centers that provide support services to farmers, such as animal treatment, artificial fertilization, vaccination campaigns, and information services. These centers are staffed with Veterinary Doctors, Veterinary Assistants, and Artificial Insemination technicians, and are crucial during disease outbreaks.
